TECHNICAL DELIVERY - CASE STUDY
THE CLIENT WANTED TO DEVELOP THE SECURITY SYSTEM DESIGN FOR A COMPLEX NEW BUILD PROJECT. THEY WERE LOOKING FOR SPECIALIST SECURITY CONSULTANCY SERVICES FROM THE INITIAL DESIGN PHASE THROUGH TO CONSTRUCTION, AS WELL AS SUPPORT WITH MOVING INTO NEW PREMISES
THE ROLE
KEY OUTCOMES
Conduct an initial “discovery” meetings on site, produce a detailed security design based on the agreed design standards and develop a tender package for approved contractors submitting proposals and then technically evaluated the responses. On the tender award, the requirement was to then work alongside the project team to provide support and coordination to the team, as well as managed design changes. During the installation phase, technical oversight and project management services were also required for the installation as well as commissioning and system programming schedules, and confirmation that all security systems were installed to the client’s agreed specification.
KEY OUTCOMES
- Delivered the value of a senior CTO without the cost incurred by hiring a permanent CTO
- Provided dedicated support throughout each phase of the project, and after completion continued to provide ongoing support.
- On the completion of the project, the systems were witness tested
- Provided the relevant handover documentation to the client
